“....The shop and the racetrack maybe ?!”

Last week my parents flew over to California for visit me and see my second race. I haven’t seen them from January so these last couple of days we have been driving, travel around in northern California. They asked me; What do you recommend to see and do here ? “- hmm…I don’t know I haven’t seen so much !?....The shop and the racetrack maybe ?!”

Last Sunday my parents and I got invited for Easter at an American family. It was very nice and fun to celebrate Easter with an American touch! And couple of days later we got invited to try some Buffalo Burgers which taste really good. After the great dinner we played Pass the Pigs, instead of two ordinary dices you’re playing with two small pig dices!?

Now I need to ride over to the shop !

Viva Las Vegas !

Yesterday night I come back from our race in Las Vegas. Las Vegas, what can I say; The city that never sleeps! What happens in Vegas – Stays in Vegas!

It was a great trip which include great people, racing, Las Vegas, The Strip, nice environment, good food, great music etc. The racing track, Las Vegas Speedway was complete with a drag strip, a road course, two oval tracks, Shelby’s fabric and only 20 min to the strip. I really recommend visiting Vegas and make sure you’re able to be there for at least 2 weeks, it’s so much to see!

I heard to great comments from our Vegas trip.

“Nothing will be the same anymore”
“You know you’re in Vegas when one of your reference points is a strip club billboard”

On the Road Again !

I’ve been super busy the last couple of weeks and most of the time when I’m traveling I don’t have access to the internet. So I’ve been bad of updating what is happening here in California ?!

Tomorrow morning I’ll go to Las Vegas and help out the team during the race and I’ll be gone again for four days. On the other side !

I was on the other side of the car and helped out the crew! I joined the team last Wednesday when we had a track practice!

I thought it could be a good experience to help out the crew to see and understand how it’s on the other side of the car and transfer that so I can develop more as a driver!

Is everything big in America !?

They say that everything is big in America. Now when I’ve been here for a while, I can absolutely agree to that !

But a couple of days ago I passed the smallest mountain chain in the world actually!

Motorsport is very big in America and especially NASCAR. All the people in America are very interest in the sport and very familiar with the drivers, the teams, all the latest news and so one. When people ask me about my background and I’m telling them I’m in a NASCAR Development Program. They all think it’s very cool and starts to ask questions, autographs etc. Last week when I opened up a new bank account I realized again that NASCAR is big. I could choose my own NASCAR VISA Card ! And of course I choose the driver who is NASCAR – Dale Earnhardt Sr. !

Swede in a NASCAR !

March 5th will be one of my best days ever. I had the opportunity to drive my NASCAR Modified for the first time ! We managed to do very good lap times and we learned more about the car!

I only say: NASCAR – V8 – 410” – 600+ hp – Great Team = The best day ever! The engine in this NASCAR is a really beast, so much horsepower and torque and you’re searching for traction all the time!

It was really fun to be on the track again and work with the team. I learned so much and got more experience and knowledge about the car, the team, the track, oval track racing etc. I’m really looking forward for this race season.

Cannot Wait !

The racing season is coming up and I and the whole team cannot wait to the premier race. I’ve learned so much from the classes and it will be fun and interesting to put all my new knowledge in to practice experience on the racetrack. March 5 will be a great day because then we’re supposed to do the first driving test ! I’ve looked at the weather channel every day now and unfortunately it supposed to rain and “only” be 59°F/ 15°C warm. I hope for the best!
