New vs. Old !

There are many people who're asking me about my racing background and most of them are very curious about the Camaro Cup serie I raced in before. So here are some great pictures of the new Camaro who will be introduce 2010 in the Camaro Cup in Sweden. I really like the new race Camaro and the chassis, suspension etc is very familiar with the NASCAR car I'll race for this year !

Here are some Links:

Here is the car I raced in the Camaro Cup 2007 & 2008. The car is now for sale and I gone miss it, we had some great memories together ! This beast helped me to award "Driver progress of the year" 2007 and "Junior Champ" 2008 !

On the Racetrack !

Last Thursday we had a really successful test day on the racetrack. The Midget drivers test different springs just to get the experience how each set up’s will affect the car’s handling.

It was a perfect day; I was on a racetrack again, it was about 72°F/22°C warm, and I got some sleep in !

One more Car !

Yesterday night they delivered the new NASCAR Modified Chassis to the shop.

Everything starts to come together now for the seasons which feels very exciting. It’s still a lot of work for the testing we have on Mars 5 but the engine is already done and must of the new parts is already ordered.

Tomorrow, February 19, the team has the first private test on the track with the Ford Focus Midget. I hope I’ve some time over so I can participate in the test which would be really fun!

For the weekend I have class and the topics are; “Leadership Skills for Career Bound Drivers” and “Understanding & Utilizing Data Acquisition”. In this development program we are working a lot how the brain is working and how the brain is using all the information from the 5 senses. It’s very complicate but the brain takes all the decisions even when you’re driving!!

American Culture!

Today I got a new taste of the American culture – a true American Donuts!

Along with one of the crew chiefs I went to the Donuts shop and bought some big fresh Donuts. I’ve to admit it was the best Donuts I’ve ever eaten, for breakfast. In America you eat Donuts for breakfast and not for dessert.

Earlier this week we went down to pick up a new chassis south of Sacramento. It was a six-hour long drive, it was fun to see more of California. It really went from dead flat to some green hills. After a while it started to rain – a lot! When it’s winter in California it doesn’t snow, it rains!

A lot of works!

From the day I came to America I have been working every day. For the past 3 weeks I have woken up at 6:30 am, left the shop at 7:00 pm, and then kept working at home and finally had some beauty sleep. But I love it and I’ve developed a lot!

Last weekend was the big Super bowl game. This is a traditional and very prestigious American football finale. I actually had little time over from the development class to watch the end of the Super bowl which was very cool. Mr. Harrison did a 100 yards run and then a touchdown which was the first time ever during a Super bowl game!

During the same weekend I attended two workshops regarding Chassis Tuning and Becoming a Professional Athlete. I got special meal plans, stretching exercises, workout exercises etc for the coming racing weekends which are very important to follow. The classes were held by a Triathlete /Medical person and a former boot camp fitness trainer! We had to do push-ups,
sit-ups, ½ mile run and I also took a CPR-certification!
